Install
On the WordPress tab, choose a site title, an admin username (not admin) and your email address, then click Install WordPress. It takes about half a minute and the admin password is shown once.
Updates
WordPress itself updates automatically. Use Plugin auto-updates to let plugins update themselves too. Keep your themes up to date and remove plugins you do not use: outdated plugins are the most common way websites get hacked.
Forgot your WordPress password?
On the WordPress tab, choose the administrator and click New admin password. The new password is shown once.
Reliable WordPress cron
WordPress normally runs its scheduled tasks (such as publishing planned posts) only when someone visits your site. Turn on Reliable WordPress cron to run them every 5 minutes instead.
Speed (WordPress and Web Pro plans)
These plans include Redis object caching, which makes busy pages and the admin faster. It is switched on during installation.
Staging (WordPress plan)
Create staging copy makes a private copy of your website at staging.yourdomain to test updates and changes first. Search engines are asked not to index it. When you are happy, open the staging copy and click Push to live: we first make a backup, then copy the files and database over your live website. If something goes wrong, restore yesterday's or today's backup on the Backups tab.
