Create mailboxes on the Email tab of your website in SparkPanel. The password is shown once, so store it in a password manager. You can set a new one at any time.

Webmail

Click Open webmail next to a mailbox to read and send mail in your browser right away.

Mail apps (Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, your phone)

Use the server name shown on the Email tab:

  • Incoming (IMAP): port 993, SSL
  • Outgoing (SMTP): port 587, STARTTLS
  • Username: your full email address

Good delivery

After you create your first mailbox, the Domain & SSL tab shows the MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records for your domain. Add them at your domain registrar and click Check my records. Without them, other mail servers may reject your mail or mark it as spam.

Forwarders and autoresponder

  • Forwarders send mail for an address on your domain to up to 10 other addresses. To also keep a copy in a mailbox with the same name, add that mailbox as a destination too.
  • The autoresponder sends an automatic reply, for example when you are on holiday. Each sender gets it at most once a day.

Sending limits

Each mailbox can send up to 100 emails per hour. Mail sent by your website, such as a contact form, goes out as noreply@yourdomain, up to 200 emails per day. A mailbox or website that keeps hitting the limit is blocked from sending, because this usually means a stolen password or a hacked form. Set a new mailbox password to unblock a mailbox; for website mail, mail mailto:info@serverspark.nl>info@serverspark.nl. Newsletters and bulk mail are not allowed; use a specialised service for those.
