Files
The Files tab lets you browse, edit, upload (up to 10 MB per file), rename and delete files. For many or big files, use an SFTP program such as FileZilla or WinSCP with the server, port and username shown on the Files tab; set your SFTP password there. Your website is served from the public folder. Your disk space is shown on the Websites overview; when it is full, uploads stop until you delete files, mail or databases or move to a bigger plan.
Databases
Create MySQL-compatible databases on the Databases tab (the name always starts with your account name). Your website connects to host localhost. Click Database admin to open the database in your browser without a password; that login is valid for 2 hours.
Backups
Every night we back up your files, databases and mail to a separate storage server and keep them for 7 days (Web Start, Web Plus) or 14 days (WordPress, Web Pro). On the Backups tab you can restore one file or folder, a whole website, a database or a mailbox yourself, or make an extra backup with Back up now. Backups are a safety net; keep your own copy of important files too.
Scheduled tasks
On the Scheduled tasks tab you can run a PHP file in your website folder or a page of your own website on a schedule, from every 5 minutes to once a week (up to 10 tasks). The output is written to logs/cron.log in your SFTP folder.
Security
Every night we scan your hosting for harmful files. If we find something, SparkPanel shows which files, and we may contact you. Remove or replace those files, update your software and change your passwords.
