Updated 4 November 2026
A FiveM server supports up to 48 players for free, using OneSync. More slots need a paid Cfx.re Element Club subscription on the account that owns your license key: Argentum raises it to 64, Aurum to 128 with OneSync Infinity, and Platinum to 2048. You set the number with sv_maxclients in server.cfg. How many of those slots you can actually fill depends more on your scripts than on the number itself.
Checked on 29 October 2026 on fivem.net/server-hosting and in the FiveM documentation (docs.fivem.net). Element Club prices there were $15, $25 and $50 per month plus VAT for Argentum, Aurum and Platinum; check the Cfx.re portal for the current price before you subscribe.
Slots at a glance
| Cfx.re subscription | Max players (OneSync Infinity) |
|---|---|
| None (free license key) | 48 |
| Element Club Argentum | 64 |
| Element Club Aurum | 128 |
| Element Club Platinum | 2048 |
The subscription is something you take with Cfx.re, not with us. Your hosting stays the same; only the limit on your license key changes.
Set the number of slots
- Open
server.cfgin txAdmin under CFG Editor, or in SparkPanel under Files. - Find or add the line
sv_maxclients 48and change the number. Keep it at 48 or lower unless your key has Element Club. - Restart the server from txAdmin.
What OneSync is
OneSync is FiveM's server-side sync, built on top of GTA V's own network code. It lets the server know where every player and vehicle is, which is what makes more than 32 players and server-side scripts possible. The FiveM documentation lists three modes for the onesync setting:
on: full server-side state (OneSync Infinity). This is what QBCore, ESX and most modern scripts expect.legacy: a compatibility mode for old scripts that expect every player to exist on every client.off: GTA's original peer-to-peer networking. Only for very old setups.
In txAdmin you'll find the OneSync choice under Settings → FXServer. Leave it on on unless an old script tells you otherwise.
Slots are not the bottleneck: scripts are
48 players on a light freeroam server use far less memory than 48 players on a full roleplay framework with hundreds of scripts, custom maps and add-on cars. Rules of thumb from our own plans:
- FiveM 2 GB (€1.89 per month paid per quarter, €2.19 monthly billing): a small server with a few standard scripts.
- FiveM 4 GB (€5.29 / €5.59): QBCore or ESX with a normal set of scripts for a growing community.
- FiveM 8 GB (€7.19 / €7.49): a large roleplay server with many custom vehicles, maps and scripts (see FiveM 8 GB for roleplay communities).
Every FiveM plan includes txAdmin and a MySQL database. See FiveM server hosting.
resmon 1: the resource monitor shows which scripts use the most time. Stop or replace the worst one first; one badly written script can cost more than a handful of extra players.Next steps
