If you are looking for the cheapest server, the answer depends on what you want to run. For a Minecraft server and a 512 MB Discord bot, ServerSpark is the cheapest of the Dutch hosts we checked on 4 November 2026. For a very light bot and for a plain VPS there are cheaper options, and we list those here too. ServerSpark prices are per month and include 21% Dutch VAT.

* MC-Node lists its 1 GB plan as suitable up to Minecraft 1.12 and recommends at least 4 GB for newer versions. MC-Node also has a 0.5 GB plan for €0.50 per month, meant for old versions and proxy servers; in absolute price that is cheaper than our smallest plan.

Honestly: if your bot runs in 64 or 128 MB, MC-Node is cheaper, and their smallest plan is free. From 512 MB, enough for most discord.js or discord.py bots, ServerSpark is the cheapest of these three. MC-Node and Ferox did not say next to their prices whether VAT is included. To be fair: for a 4 GB VPS we are not the cheapest. OVHcloud is cheaper, and so is Hostinger as long as you prepay 24 months. What you do get with us: support in Dutch and English, paying with iDEAL, never any automatic charges and cancel any month. We converted prices excluding VAT at 21%.
Where are the servers?
ServerSpark is a Dutch company (KvK 82826757). Game servers and bots run in data centres in Germany and Finland, the VPS in Germany. From the Netherlands, the ping to Germany is usually low enough for Minecraft and most other games. If you need a data centre in the Netherlands, pick another host. What to look at besides price
- Are you charged automatically? Never at ServerSpark: you pay every invoice yourself, with iDEAL or Bancontact.
- Is VAT included? Always with us. Not every host says.
- Is the low price only for the start? Look at the renewal price; at some VPS hosts it is two to three times higher.
- How much storage and backups do you get? Our Minecraft servers get 10 GB storage per GB of memory and backups in SparkPanel.
